Jethro Meets Engel

"SUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYY!" and the crowd erupts for their PWA World Heavyweight champion as Jethro comes walking from the back. He walks from side
to side on the entrance ramp, slapping the hands of fans on the way down to the bottom of the ramp. He stops at the bottom, looks to every side of the
crowd, drawing a even bigger pop as he smiles out at the crowd. He takes the right path around to Eric Emerson to grab a microphone from the long time
PWA Ring Announcer. He continues his path around the ring, slapping hands, to climb up the steps and into the ring.

The PWA World title around his waist, he holds his right hand up for the crowd to calm down and let him speak, but they do not oblige immediately. After
about twenty seconds later, they calm down.

Jethro Hayes: "Tampa Bay!"

Yeah, a cheap pop, but he doesn't necessarily need it to get over.

Jethro Hayes: "Fans at home!"

He waits.

Jethro Hayes: "There is something I want each of you to see, in case you haven't found it yet on the internet. In case you have missed the replays and
replays on the television, I want you to check this out."

He points to the PWA big screen, it changes from the view of Jethro to the final moments of PWA's Retribution.

Jon McDaniel: It's over! Jethro retains!

Before Jethro can even stand and get his title, the crowd jumps to their feet as Mathew Engel rushes down the ramp, slides into the ring and as Jethro
stands, not seeing Engel behind him, Engel hits the Engelosity, knocking Jethro out! Matthew then stands over him, a slow smile creeping over his face
and he rips off the shirt he's wearing and reveals a new shirt underneath; one that reads: PANTHEON!

The replay from Retribution ends and the scene freezes with Matthew Engel standing there over Jethro for thirty seconds. The entire crowd and Jethro stare
up at the image. Now the action is back live on the big screen and it shows Jethro and a high level of intensity.

Jethro Hayes: "I've replayed that in my mind over and over so many times I have it memorized. Most of you know that isn't such an easy feat, but I've done

The crowd is booing Matthew Engel's actions and Jethro allows them to.

Jethro Hayes: "I know why he did it, because he was frustrated. He did it out of anger. I was attacked, from behind, because I am the current PWA World
Heavyweight Champion."

Jethro laughs/chuckles into the microphone, shrugging his shoulders as he does so.

Jethro Hayes: "Attacked because I am on top of my game right now. Said it could have been anybody, but it just happened to be me. Folks, this comes from
a guy that said he respects me, respects what I've done, respects what I've achieved in less than a year in the PWA."

Another laugh/chuckle.

Jethro Hayes: "Matthew, it doesn't seem like respect to me. You say you respect me and who knows maybe you do. You don't seem like one who lies, you don't
need to. Your actions speak for themselves, your actions back up your words."

Another one of those laugh/chuckles.

Jethro Hayes: "But if you do respect me, why didn't you come from the front? Why did you attack with the Engelosity from behind? I know it is a move that
you perform from behind an opponent, but why not meet me face to face? But Engel..."

Crowd: "WHY - NOT - FROM - THE - FRONT (Clap, clap, clap clap clap)"

Jethro looks at them, he nods along.

Jethro Hayes: "You will fit right in with The Pantheon, you will fit in perfectly. See, this isn't the first time that I've been attacked after a match,
not the first time The Pantheon has attacked a wrestler after a match. Not the first time you "self proclaimed Wrestling Gods have attacked someone after
a hard fought title match, or a match period."

Jethro seems to be getting a little animated now, walking back and forth.

Jethro Hayes: "See, to be superior athletes, you guys keep doing the same thing. Nothing too original there, nothing too... innovative. It is always an
attack from behind, after a match, a cowardly attack. So Engel, here I stand, here I am, why don't you come out now?"

Crowd: "COME - OUT - EN - GEL!" (Clap, clap, clap clap clap.)

Jethro Hayes: "And meet me face to face, face me from the front and for once, give The Pantheon some credibility and not attack me from behind. HUH?! Come
on Engel.... where are you?!"

Jethro waits, but there is nothing.

Jethro Hayes: "Figures, just like the rest of..."

Suddenly, "The God That Failed" by Metallica hits the sound system and Matthew Engel comes out from backstage. He's dressed in some of his ring attire,
he's only missing his tuxedo jacket. With a mic in hand, Metallica's "The God That Failed" fades away and Engel clears his throat.

Matthew Engel: "You seem to know all the answers, Jethro. Why, oh why, are you out here causing trouble? Was it not enough that on Retribution we saw you
retain your title against sub par talent? Now you're subjecting your fans to your face being crushed by my knee? If you're looking for sympathy, you need
to check your surroundings. These people checked their sympathy at the door. They want blood and drama, not a happy ending."

The crowd gets a chant going again. Engel isn't too pleased.

Crowd: "YOU - DON'T - KNOW - SHIT!" (Clap, clap, clap clap clap.)

Jethro: "Engel, I'd listen to them cause it sounds to me like they do know what they want."

Matthew Engel: "Yeah, yeah. I thought I gave it to you straight this past week, Jethro. I attacked you because you have something I want. Period. Like
I said, it could have been anybody. It could have been that dumb sack of shit we call Mark McNasty, and believe you me that Engelosity would have been
much more pleasurable for myself if that was true. But, it was you. You can look into the stars and call it fate, but I look into the mirror and call it
opportunity. Opportunity to shine once again and out-perform myself from eight months ago.

I won't speak on behalf of the Pantheon. I'm not the man you want doing that, but I will always speak on behalf of myself. I have no problem 'climbing
the ladder', but last week was a warning to you. It was a warning of the inevitable. Your title reign is in serious jeopardy, Jethro, and if you can't
find better people than Shadow Starr for your title defenses, you will have no idea what I have in store for you."

Engel pauses for a moment as an "asshole" chant grows louder and louder. Engel lays out a smirk, as Jethro gets heated in the ring. Jethro begins to sweat

Jethro: "Yeah, they definitely know their stuff. But Matthew, here is my thing, why didn't you just come and ask me like a true man would. People know I am a fighting champion, I'd give you a title shot, all you had to do was ask, but oh no, High and Mighty Engel had to attack from behind. He had to mark his territory like a dog in heat. But one thing Matthew, Shadow Starr being sub-par talent and me defending this title against him, wasn't by choice. See, we had this little thing going about cases where the challenger for this title was chosen at random."

Matthew Engel: "I don't care about innovation. I care about what's around your waist, Jethro. What I said stands true: I do have respect for you as a competitor.
But that's where it ends, and you would be foolish to think differently. So what if I attacked you from behind? My goal there wasn't to honorably get the
upperhand. My goal there wasn't to fight you right on the spot. You were worn out from your match, whether I hit you from the front or the back, you were
at a complete disadvantage.

I sent you a message, Jethro. A message you've received. A message you can't stop thinking about. I'm stirring the pot, and I'm taking advantage of the
opportunities presented to me."

Jethro: "A Messege I've heard loud and clear Matthew, loud and clear."

Matthew Engel: "You? I think you've forgotten the meaning of the word 'control'. Champions don't call people out; champions are called out. This little act of desperation
to show the true colors of the Pantheon is quite useless. You know where I stand, Jethro. You always have. My eyes have always been on the prize, and it
never mattered who I had to take it from."

Jethro: "I'm not calling you out as a champion, I'm calling you out man to man. Resistance to Pantheon. Good guy to bad guy. This isn't about this title, but if you want it to be... it can be. The control you say I've lost, the order I've messed up... so be it Matthew, so be it. Order and control went out of the window with the Engelosity at Retribution."

Matthew Engel: "It's survival at this point, Jethro. In a world gone mad, I know that if I want something I just need to step in and take it. But you're not ready to hand
it over yet, are you?"

Jethro Hayes: "You bet I ain't, Matthew. I'm gonna--"

Matthew Engel: "Good, good. That's all I want. And we'll keep it at that, because I've seen you embarrass yourself enough tonight. You get upset at people calling you dumb or inferring that about you Jethro, there is a reason why they do. An old saying I am sure you have heard back in Georgia... if the shoe fits... wear it."

Jethro drops the mic and slides out of the ring. He runs up the rampway at Matthew Engel, who has dropped his mic. The fans go crazy as Jethro and Engel
collide at the top of the stage!

Jon McDaniel: Oh man! Engel and Jethro are slugging it out right here on Rampage!

Brian Rentfro: Engel can't stand toe to toe with Jethro, what's he doing!?

Jon McDaniel: Engel's been known to battle a few giants here and there!

Brian Rentfro: Jethro with a wild punch just barely misses Engel! Engel capitalizes and tries for a dropkick to Jethro's knee, but he sidesteps out of
the way!

Jethro grabs Engel at the waist from behind and hits Engel with a sidewalk slam on the stage!

Brian Rentfro: That's gotta hurt! Engel's grabbing his back in pain!

Jon McDaniel: And security has officially rushed onto the scene. They try to separate Engel and Jethro, both are screaming at the top of their lungs and
wanting to go at it some more.

Brian Rentfro: Come on! Let them tear each other up!

Jon McDaniel: Looks like it will have to wait for an appropriate time as Engel and Jethro are escorted backstage by security.

Brian Rentfro: Damn! They should've let them fight.

Duff's Commercial

[The chugging of the drums from the beginning of "Debonaire" by Dope hits the loudspeakers. Eventually, a pair of guitars begin to accompany it and when the vocals hit, the curtain is hurled to the side.]

I don't need diamond rings or high-priced suits that shine
Limousines and flashy things or ancient bottled wine
Designer names and lavish things and million dollar hair
Bonny Dames without a brain I never really cared

[From the back, Duff Côte d`Ivoire emerges, to a giant pop from the fans. He looks to the left, then to the right. His eyes are adorned with sunglasses he bought for around $10 before the show. He isn't wearing his trenchcoat right now, and is instead decked out in a plain black t-shirt and jeans, with a microphone hanging out of his front pocket.]

I don't care nothin' about it

[His demeanour looks a bit more sombre as he walks to the ring. He glances around at the crowd as he walks with his head hung more than usual. The Television Title hangs on his shoulder, and he gets into the ring and walks to the centre, sighing as he moves. He pulls out the microphone and puts it to his lips as his music dies down.]

Duff: Now, for those of you who are unaware, I have a contract outside of this federation. Not with another wrestling company, as I've come to the conclusion that the PWA is the only place for me. No, I'm under contract to the Dorian Talent Agency. And as a client of this company, I am required to do a set of appearances. Recently, these appearances have been for a company named Holden Condoms.

[Duff spits on the mat at the mention of the name.]

Duff: With Holden Condoms, I've had to do a whole line of commercials. Commercials that I was of the impression would be for other purposes. Specifically, furthering the PWA. Instead, I learned last week that I was to be featured in an asinine campaign for rubbers. So I'm supposed to come out here to introduce the commercial, and to walk to the back once my duties are done.

[Duff's laughs lightly to himself.]

Duff: That's what I'm supposed to do. But here's what I'm going to do: I'm going to break my contract with Dorian Talent Agency. I refuse to introduce this ad to the public. Don't get me wrong, the ads were pure genius, as at least two people would put it. But what those people don't know is that, in my spare time, I've made my own commercial. It stars my agent, Dorian Baldwin, and... well, a friend of his. If you would, folks in the back, roll the tape.

[On the screen appears a picture of Dorian Baldwin. His short, tan body is covered up by a robe, and he begins walking in the general direction of the camera with a bucket of ice, seemingly unaware that the camera is even watching him, unblinking. He searches his pockets, presumably for a key, and then grunts and knocks on the door of what we can only assume is his room.

The door opens, and we catch a glimpse of a … very masculine woman. Muscles all over her body, small breasts, and … even a little stubble.]

Dorian: Sorry it took me so long to get back, the machine on this floor was out of ice. You ready for Mr. Dorian's Wild Ride?
“Woman”: Oh, Dorian, you cad! Did you remember to bring protection?

[Her voice is low and sort of gravelly. Dorian laughs, and pulls a Durex out of his pocket. A tiny picture within the picture zooms in to erase any doubts that it isn't a Holden condom.]

Dorian: Only the best for you, baby. It was really difficult finding them in my size, though. Even now, I think I'll have to cut a few inches off.

“Woman”: Oh, that's okay, dear. I'm sure you'll still be able to rock my world.

[Dorian grins and kisses the woman with the razor burn. This picture is cut away immediately, and replaced with a still photo of Dorian and the woman lying in bed, covered with a comforter. Big, red text slams onto the screen, reading: “DORIAN USES DUREX”.

The picture cuts back to the ring, where Duff applauds.]

Duff: I'll admit, that wasn't the best commercial I've ever made. In fact, it was a pretty horrible commercial. In fact, it wasn't a commercial at all, it was kind of a home video which was intended to humiliate someone who's been making my life hell for the last month. And, you know, this is going to cause me so many problems, but I don't care. I'm not putting up with this any more! It's not who I am! So Dorian Baldwin, take me to court if you so desire. I refuse to be your bitch any more.

[Dropping the mic, Duff heads to the back as the arena cheers him on.]

Marxx is back up, but so was Alex, stopping him with a spear and then pummeling him with rights and lefts trying to incompasitate the former TV champion. Duff with a big boot rolled Alex outside of the ring but he had to move quickly as Shanahan just nailed Iris with a Dumpster Slam and had made a cover. Duff stopped the pin after a near fall with a clubbing forearm dive. Shanahan had the title nearly in his grasp and Duff was going to pay for costing him the title. Duff was forced back and Marxx rolled him up, getting a 2 count before Matt figured out what was going on. He stompd Marxx in the back of the head and this man was now standing tall in the ring. Another Sacrilegious Sacrifice to Marxx, but Marxx somehow counters it into a tornado DDT. Marxx makes the cover, but Iris pulls Matt outside of the ring where they began to trade punches.

Marxx is up and gets Alex up in the Leaving Marxx, but Duff spins him around, he dropped Alex, he booted him in the stomach and hit the move he calls Echoes. He made the cover. He got one when the two outside slid in. He got two as they reached him. And a boot came down on his head after the referee had counted three.

Winner: Duff Côte d`Ivoire 19:31

Matt got out of the ring and was standing at the bottom of the entrance ramp, looking back inside the ring where he missed his first chance at PWA gold when a man came out of the crowd. He spun Matt Shanahan around as he reached into his pants, and threw the sweaty smelly hand back into Matt's face. It was Bubba J with the Nut Sack Whack. He just rubbed his hand all over his sweaty balls and threw them back into Matt Shanahan's face! Matt fell down to the floor gagging as Bubba laughed in his face before leaving back through the crowd.

Riona Langly vs. Jethro Hayes

Main Event

ERIC EMERSON: The following match is set for one fall with thirty minutes remaining. This is your Rampage main event...

A soft pinging noise fills the speakers, the lights flickering along with it. As the pinging comes to a stop, the lights in the arena shut off completely,
and orchestral intro to "Planet Hell" by Nightwish begins. The crowd claps along with the music as images of angels and death flash across the screen,
superimposed with flashes of ring action. The lights begin to flicker along with the beat of the drums. And without a warning, the music stops and a massive
explosion of pyro goes off as the metal part of the intro begins, the lights coming back on with a fury. Blue lasers fly about the arena as Marco Hietala
begins singing.

### Denying the lying ###
### A million children fighting ###
### For lives in strife ###
### For hope beyond the horizon ###

The lasers switch to a reddish hue as Tajra begins to sing....

### A dead world ###
### A dark path ###
### Not even crossroads to choose from ###
### All the blood red carpets before me ###
### Behold this fair creation of God ###

As Tajra's pace and the music calm down considerably, a spotlight bursts out from in front of the curtain as a figure slowly makes its way out in front
of it, head tilted down. The figure stops just in front of the light, head tilted down. Her long, black hair flows over her shoulders, the red bangs at
the front hiding her face as she silohettes herself on the light.

### My only wish to leave behind ###
### All the days of the earth ###
### An everyday hell of my kingdom come ###

The woman slowly lifts her head up, hair hanging down over her face and obscuring most of it. Finally, as the second of the song begins, she throws her
arms out to the side in a crucifix pose and flicks her head back, her hair flying back over her shoulders and revealing her face. A huge pop occurs as
a stream of silver sparks fall from the screen above her, the light behind her blacking out. She ignores any sort of minor pain that the sparks would
be causing her as three silver fireworks shoot off from the top of the tron to fly off and hit sets above the ring, causing minor explosions and the lasers
to switch back to blue.

Eric Emerson: Introducing first/next... coming to us from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! She weighed in this morning at 140 pounds, and stands at five foot

### The first rock thrown again ###
### Welcome to hell, little Saint ###
### Mother Gaia in slaughter ###
### Welcome to paradise soldier ###

Riona unstraps the PWA Intercontinental Championship from her waist and raises it high with one arm, pacing across the entrance ramp and showing everyone
what she's got as the lasers turn back to red with Tajra's voice returning.

### My first cry neverending ###
### All life is to fear for life ###
### You fool, you wanderer ###
### You challenged the gods and lost ###

Eric Emerson: Ladies and gentlemen, this is.... RIOOONNNNAAAA LANNGGGLLLLYYYY!!!

Riona lowers her arm and begins to make her way down the ramp as silver sparks suddenly fly up from either side of the entrance ramp to shower down over
her, creating a tunnel of sorts due to the arching shape. Riona's typical neutral gaze not showing much of her thoughts towards the crowd. The arching
shape keeps her from specifically reaching out for high fives, but she doesn't bother to stop the few pats on the back she gets through the tunnel of sparks.
Riona stops at the bottom of the ramp as the sparks finally dissipate, looking up into the ring for a few moments before walking over to and up the stairs.
She quickly climbs up to the top turnbuckle and snaps off a crucifix pose with the Intercontinental Championship in her right hand as silver pyro shoots
up from the other three turnbuckles with a loud pop as soon as the chorus begins.

### Save yourself a penny for the ferryman ###
### Save yourself and let them suffer ###
### In hope ###
### In love ###
### This world ain't ready for The Ark ###

She holds the pose there while the chorus goes on, the lasers finally ending. Finally, Riona lowers her arms and hops down into to her corner, doing some
last minute stretches and getting ready for the match as the lights return to normal.

"Suuuuuuueeeeeeyyyyy!" The cranking of a tractor is heard throughout the arena and the video entrance of Jethro Hayes begins playing over the big screen. Cows moo, on the screen cows are shown in a green pasture. Pigs are oinking, on the screen pigs run around in mud within a fence. The scene on the screen goes to rolling hills, showing combines in the field harvesting crops, tractors harrowing the ground preparing for the new crop; semi trucks are hauling off the harvested crop. A man walks up the 3 steps and opens the door on the cab of his John Deere tractor, he is wearing a John Deere trucker hat, and is missing a few teeth, evident by the grinning face he turns to the camera, he waves at the camera; it is part of a family video. He climbs on into the cab of the tractor; along with the cranking of the tractor on the screen, the beginning of Thank God I'm a Country Boy by John Denver begins to play over the speaker system.

~Well life on the farm is kinda laid back
~Aint much an old country boy like me cant hack
~Its early to rise, early in the sack
~Thank God Im a country boy

The curtains are pulled back by two people and the front of a John Deere 4720 tractor is seen in the backstage area, smoke boiling up from the muffler.

~Well a simple kinda life never did me no harm
~A raisin me a family and workin on a farm
~My days are all filled with an easy country charm
~Thank God Im a country boy

When the words "kinda laid back" are heard, the tractor begins moving forward slowly down the ramp the tractor is moving at about 3 miles an hour.

Eric Emerson: "From Lean Ox, Ga; weighing 315 pounds and standing at 6' 7"... Jethro Hayes!"

With the mentioning of his name, Jethro toots the tractor's horn inside the cab and waves to the crowd, he revs the tractor's engine slightly in response to the crowd.

~Well I got me a fine wife I got me a fiddle
~When the suns comin up I got cakes on the griddle
~Life aint nothin but a funy funny riddle
~Thank God Im a country boy

The tractor arrives at the bottom of the ramp and Jethro stops the tractor, toots the horn while reving the tractor to full power; then he shuts the tractor off. Jethro climbs out of the tractor to a huge pop, he waves and climbs down. Jethro is wearing overalls with a yellow John Deere shirt underneath, brown Wolverine boots, and a John Deere hat.

~When the works all done and the suns settlin low
~I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow
~The kids are asleep so I keep it kinda low
~Thank God Im a country boy
~Id play sally goodin all day if I could
~But the lord and my wife wouldnt take it very good
~So I fiddle when I could, work when I should
~Thank God Im a country boy

He touches a few fans hands on his way to the ring steps. He climbs up the steps and gets into the ring He walks to one corner and waves to those fans.

~Well I got me a fine wife I got me a fiddle
~When the suns comin up I got cakes on the griddle
~Life aint nothin but a funy funny riddle
~Thank God Im a country boy

He walks to another corner and waves to those fans, nodding along with the music.

~Well I wouldnt trade my life for diamonds and jewels
~I never was one of them money hungry fools
~Iid rather have my fiddle and my farmin tools
~Thank God Im a country boy

He walks to the third corner and waves to those fans with thumbs up in the air, still nodding along with the music; he mimics playing a fiddle.

~Yeah, city folk drivin in a black limousine
~A lotta sad people thinkin thats mighty keen
~Son, let me tell ya now exactly what I mean
~Thank God Im a country boy

Reaching the fourth corner, he takes off his hat and throws it into the crowd; shaking his head he prepares for the match.

~Well I got me a fine wife I got me a fiddle
~When the suns comin up I got cakes on the griddle
~Life aint nothin but a funy funny riddle
~Thank God Im a country boy
The song fades away slowly with the chorus repeating while it dwindles into silence.

JON MCDANIEL: We are set for a great match here Brian, these two have nothing but respect for each other. Collar and elbo

BRIAN RENTFRO: Notice that mushy handshake there.

Collar and elbow lockup, Riona quickly losing the advantage there, she drops the hold, floats behind Jethro dropkick to the back of the big man. He stumbles into the corner, grabs the two sets of ropes, turns around. Ducking the clothesline, he sends Riona over the top rope to land on the apron. Riona with a kick through the ropes, catching Jethro in the ribs. He holds at his ribs as she delivers another swift kick. Riona with a third kick, but Jethro catches the ankle, dropping down to the mat while dropping an elbow on Riona's knee. She drops the hold on the top rope, Jethro breaks the hold. Riona rolls to where her entire body is on the ring apron, she rolls down to the mat outside as Jethro stands up; he backs away allowing her to enter the ring. Lock up attempt, Riona with a forearm to Jethro's thick skull, the big man is sent backwards. Irish whip into the ropes, Jethro reverses and Riona is sent running. Trying to catch the top rope to brake herself, she is unsuccessful, Jethro catches her on the rebound with an airplane spin. Jethro spins around, dropping Riona's throat across his shoulder with a airplane spin into a stunner. He makes a cover.

One... Two... Riona kicks out.

JON MCDANIEL: First cover of the match and it is a two count.

BRIAN RENTFRO: Jethro will have to do more than that to defeat Riona.

Jethro pulls her to her feet, right hand, knife edge chop to Riona in the corner. She winces from the pain of a second knife edge chop and Jethro grabs the wrist, whip into the corner. NO! Riona counters with an armbar takedown. Riona hooks on an arm trap crossface. The referee is down in Jethro's face asking if he wants to submit, Jethro shakes his head "No." Jethro shoves up from the mat with his free hand, Riona isn't heavy enough to prevent this, Jethro shoves forward into the ropes, clutching at the bottom rope. Riona breaks the hold immediately, due to the respect she has for this man. Jethro pulls himself up as Riona backs off. Riona with a high knee lift into Jethro's chest, Jethro spins around once, slamming her down to the canvas with a spinebuster. NO Wait! Riona at the last instant somehow turned the spinebuster into a DDT, Jethro may be out cold on the canvas!

BRIAN RENTFRO: Jethro is out!

JON MCDANIEL: What a counter from Riona!

She grabs him around the head, pulling him up to his feet, forearm to his chest, European uppercut sends him into the corner. Front dropkick to Jethro's knees nearly causes him to drop down to the canvas on his wounded knee, but the European uppercut gets him back up vertically in the corner. Riona with a knife edge chop, she turns sprinting to the middle of the ring. Turning back to face Jethro she sprints, runs up Jethro, kicking him in the chest as she reaches his chest and flips backwards. She finishes it off with another dropkick to Jethro's knee that she has decided to work over in this match, the right knee of Jethro has got to be giving him some pain now. She drapes the leg over the middle rope, grabs the ankle, and bends the knee over the middle rope to cause even more pain and damage to that leg, Jethro is breathing heavily now, the sweat pouring from his forehead. Elbow drop onto Riona's back, she loosens the hold, another elbow drop, she drops the hold completely. She looks up at Jethro, swinging out with a right hand, Jethro hooks her in a half nelson, turning around slamming her down to the mat with a half nelson slam., Riona's foot lands under the bottom rope, so no cover is made. Jethro grabs a quick breather, but moves quickly when he notices Riona moving beside him. He pulls her to her feet, Riona with another arm trap crossface, slamming Jethro down in the middle of the ring, she is working on the shoulder and right leg of Jethro, possibly stopping him from both of his finishers.

JON MCDANIEL: Riona is relentless on the right shoulder and right knee of Jethro here in this match.

BRIAN RENTFRO: Riona is a specialist inside that ring, technician, high flying, brawling, she can do it all.

Jethro isn't so quick to push up this time and get to the ropes, but he slowly begins to make his way there. He reaches out for the bottom rope when Riona releases the arm trap crossface, jumps into the air springs back from the ropes with a knee drop onto Jethro's right shoulder. She sits him up against the ropes, she runs to the opposite ropes, sliding forearm smash into Jethro's face sends him outside of the ring. She climbs up to the top turnbuckle, measuring the distance to her prey. She dives as Jethro reaches his hands and knees; diving headbutt from the top rope to the outside, it nails Jethro and both are down here on the outside of the ring.

Riona pulls Jethro up to his knees, forearm smash rocks him on his knees.

Knife edge chop smacks on his t-shirt covered chest as the referee continues counting here in the match.

A gamengiri kick from Riona sends Jethro onto his right side as Riona picks herself back up to stand over the current PWA World Champion.

Jethro is struggling to get up and as Riona bends over him, he grabs her tights, sending her head first into the railing around ringside.

Her head smashes off of the railing, and Jethro begins to pick himself up from the matting.

BRIAN RENTFRO: Jethro is such a goody too shoes, why did he do that?

JON MCDANIEL: As him and Riona have said in the past, it is just business.

Jethro whips Riona back to the ring, her back slams hard into the ring apron, she falls down to the floor.

Jethro rolls Riona into the ring and the count is stopped. Jethro follows Riona inside, to continue the match, he is limping slightly on his right leg. He pulls Riona up to her feet, scoop slam in front of the turnbuckles, Jethro climbs up. Diving leg drop across Riona's chest and throat, but Jethro gets off of Riona quickly knowing that is not enough to put the current Intercontinental champion away. He walks down to her feet, grabs an ankle in both hands and prepares for The Combine Seat to wear Riona out some. Riona grabs Jethro's head and rolls him up in a pin.

One... Two... Thr--NO! Jethro manages to kick out at the last second to prevent the loss.

JON MCDANIEL: Close call there.

BRIAN RENTFRO: Jethro needs to watch out for things like that.

Jethro is back up to his feet, holding one of Riona's ankles in his hand, elbow drop onto her right knee, he grinds the elbow into the side of her knee. Jethro drops the ankle, gets back up, drops another elbow onto the knee. Riona is in the ropes now, preventing Jethro from another elbow drop to her knee, he backs up allowing her to pull herself up to a vertical base. Jethro charges, Riona drops down, holding onto the top rope. Jethro goes over the top rope to the floor, but no he lands on the ring apron. He taps Riona on the shoulder, right from Jethro, right from Riona, right from Jethro, another right from Riona and these two are going all out here in this match. Jethro gets the upperhand, hooks Riona for a vertical suplex to the outside, he has her up. Riona twists in mid air coming down behind Jethro. She quickly wraps her arms around his waist as she is falling, German suplex from the ring apron slams Jethro's right shoulder into the floor, and he is hurt, Riona is hurt, they are both hurt here. The referee foregoes the mandatory ten count to check on these two, neither of which are moving yet. As the ref hops down from the apron, Riona stirs, and the crowd's held breath releases a bit. Jethro moves as well, and the crowd releases the rest of the collective breath. The referee checks on both and signals that they are fine, he rolls back inside the ring where he starts the ten count.

CROWD: Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!

BRIAN RENTFRO: My sentiments exactly.

JON MCDANIEL: That has got to be painful.

Riona pulls herself up by the railing as the referee gets "one" out; Jethro is up on his hands and knees, shaking his head. He reaches out to grasp the apron and is successful in pulling himself up to a vertical base, he turns to find Riona. Langly with an Abisegiri or rolling wheel kick, sends the back of his head crashing into the unforgiving apron. The referee's count is up to four now as Jethro is unconscious on the floor, Riona trying to roll him back inside the ring. She finally gets him inside and climbs to the top turnbuckle; diving forearm smash across his throat and she hooks the leg.

One... Two... Thre--NO! Jethro gets a shoulder up just before the referee is to slap the three. Riona can't believe it, the crowd can't believe it, the referee neither. Riona doesn't waste any time though, she grabs the ankle of Jethro and drags him into the middle of the ring, where she rolls him over, synching in an Argentine leglock submission hold, Jethro grunts from the pain. He begins yet another crawl for the ropes and a garanteed break, he reaches out, but Riona prevents the break as shegets him back to the center of the ring. While the hold is loosened, Jethro rolls over sending Riona tumbling down to the mat, she catches herself quickly, Jethro kicks out with the bottom of his foot catching her in the back. She is basically shoved into the corner and when she rebounds, Jethro is there with a swinging neckbreaker sending them both back down to the canvas. They are both on their back in the middle of the ring, the referee begins to count again. Riona rolls over onto her front as Jethro pushes himself up to a kneeling position. Riona in the ropes uses them for leverage to pull herself up, Jethro pushes himself up, grunting, vertically. Riona with a running enzuigiri Jethro ducks under, catches her foot, wheelbarrow facebuster, Jethro falls back to now lean on the ropes. He is gasping for breath here in this match, but neither is going to be defeated easily. He grabs an ankle, half Boston crab to Riona, he sits back on the hold, driving the pain deep into her body. She reaches out and grabs the bottom rope in her hands, the referee informs Jethro who breaks the hold immediately turning to face Riona. He grabs her, Irish whip into the ropes, she leap frogs over Jethro, she rebounds he ducks under as she runs over him. As she comes back again, sitout spinebuster slams her back first onto the canvas, Jethro makes a cover.

One... Two... Thre--Riona with a shoulder up! Riona got her shoulder up!

JON MCDANIEL: Riona showing why she is the PWA's Intercontinental Champion right there.

BRIAN RENTFRO: Resilience runs thicker than blood in her veins.

Jethro pulls her up to her feet again, Riona with a right sends Jethro backwards. Jethro with a short arm clothesline, but keeps Riona from hitting the mat. Riona spins Jethro around quickly for a neckbreaker, Jethro grabs Riona, Hangman's facebreaker, and Riona appears to be out cold! Jethro falls to the side after the facebreaker, it cost his shoulder and knee something fierce, he holds at his knee as he begins struggling to get back up. He grunts lifting Riona into an Argentine backbreaker rack position, he falls to the side with a inverted Death Valley driver, but he doesn't have enough to cover. The referee begins the ten count once more in this match. He is up to five when Jethro rolls over, six when Riona is on her hands and knees. He hollers out "Nine!" as Jethro stands up at the same instant that Riona is up vertically, both sway on their feet and stare at each other. They give the other a respectful nod before a collar and elbow attempt. Riona ducks under Jethro's outstretched arm, backwards dropkick to the back of Jethro's right knee sends him stumbling towards the corner, he slams face first onto the top turnbuckle. Riona, showing some energy is over quickly to deliver a dropkick to Jethro's back. She runs up the ropes, enzuigiri sends her over the top rope but she lands on the apron. Holding onto the top rope, she spins around sending the point of her elbow into Jethro's temple, she kicks the right knee of Jethro for good measure. She holds onto the ropes again, delivering a series of front kicks to Jethro's forehead, he falls back from the corner. Riona kips up to the top turnbuckle, sunset flip over Jethro and she holds it for a pin.

One... Two... Thre--Jethro kicks out. Riona is thrown to the side from the force.

JON MCDANIEL: That resilience runs in Jethro's bloodstream too, huh Brian?

BRIAN RENTFRO: With Jethro, it is just sheer stupidity and dumb luck.

Riona nods, knowing that this is the way of Jethro, to give it his all, it is also her way. She goes to pull his big fram from the mat when he shoots up, nailing her witha right hand sending her backwards. Another, another; Irish whip sends Riona back into the ropes. As she rebounds, Somoan drop down to the canvas, Jethro goes down into a three point stance in the corner, near Riona. She gets groggily up to her feet and slowly turns, Jethro shoots out of the corner with The Plow! Riona counters by using Jethro's momentum to hip toss him over, but he lands on his feet falling into the corner where he catches himself. He turns quickly as Riona has gotten back to her feet, looking stunned. Jethro shoots out again, this time with a clothesline attempt, Riona with a drop toe hold, she moves quickly. Riona sits on Jethro's upper back and puts both of Jethro's arms over her legs for a camel clutch. Riona then stands slightly and pushes Jethro's head down and she ends up on her knees with Jethro's shoulders pinned to the mat and trapped under her legs.

JON MCDANIEL: A back mounted cradle pin!

One... Two... Thr--Jethro grunts as he manages to kick out of this pin; Riona is again amazed. The crowd is standing on their feet for this match, being half and half for the two inside of the ring. Jethro up to his feet, Riona with a side headlock, Jethro elbows her in the ribs, she loosens the side headlock. Another elbow breaks the hold. Jethro with a quick bulldog down to the canvas. Both Riona and himself are up to their feet showing energy that they had seemingly lost during the match. Riona with a savate kick to Jethro's chin... NO! Jethro catches the ankle flipping Riona over into an anklelock, but Riona is quickly in the ropes and the hold broken. She charges at Jethro who hooks her quickly into a full nelson, slamming her down to the canvas with a sit out full nelson atomic drop.

JON MCDANIEL: That is Jethro's Take a breaker, a newmove in his arsonel.

BRIAN RENTFRO: Take a breaker? Please.

Jethro picks Riona up, tossing her onto his injured shoulder, running powerslam sends her back down to the canvas in the opposite corner. She gets up again and Jethro charges in.

BRIAN RENTFRO: Reality Check from Riona!

JON MCDANIEL: It nearly took Jethro's head off, but can she capitalize?

Indeed she cannot make a cover, the adrenaline rush from minutes earlier having evaporated. Riona struggles up to her feet as Jethro pulls himself up slowly in the corner. In the middle of the ring once again, Irish whip from Jethro and a reversal from Riona sends Jethro into the ropes. Off the ropes and Jethro ducks Riona’s clothesline, spins and out of no where hits the Plow! Jethro drops and hooks the leg and the crowd counts with the ref.

Eric Emerson: The winner of the match, Jethro Hayes!

Jethro shakes the cobwebs from his head and offers a hand to Riona. She grudgingly accepts and the two shake hands. Riona departs, with her IC title on her shoulder as Jethro celebrates with the crowd. As he exits the ring, however, Matthew Engel comes from the crowd and attacks Jethro! Engel grabs the World Title belt and straps the belt around his leg, then nails the Engelosity to Jethro, this time driving his face into the World title belt. Jethro is busted open from the impact. Matthew holds the belt around his waist before pointing to his chest, he drops the belt over Jethro's face as the crowd roars it’s disapproval of Engel’s actions. Uncaring, Engel just stands over the fallen Jethro Hayes, again, as with last week, looking the dominate force as the screen fades to black.
