World Heavyweight Title: The Phoenix
Intercontinental Title: Johnny Maverick

Saturday Night Rampage Intro

The scene opens up to a sold out and packed Rampage. The cameras scan through the crowd looking for various signs. Some of the signs shown say "Riona + Title Shot = New World Champion", "We're All Marxx", just to name a few. Then the lights go dim as the people scatter back to their seats. Suddenly you can hear the dragging guitar riff of Cage The Elephant's "Ain't No Rest For The Wicked".

‘I was walking down the street,
When out the corner of my eye
I saw a pretty little thing approaching me.’

KC Bomber is shown jogging in place getting ready for his next match up.

‘She said "I've never seen a man
Who looks so all alone,
Could you use a little company?’

Riona Langly is shown in the gym, working a punching bag, with each strike you can see her focused rage flow through her arm into the impact on the bag.

‘If you pay the right price
Your evening will be nice,’

Emperor Ian is shown grabbing his IC Championship. As he turns around you can see Shadow Starr leaning against the wall cracking his knuckles.

‘And you can go and send me on my way."
I said "You're such a sweet young thing
Why you do this to yourself?"
She looked at me and this is what she said,’

The song picks up, the camera returns to normal, and a steady drumbeat plays. Letters slowly begin to display themselves on the black screen.

The words crumble away as you see Marxx in the locker room, taping his fists. Getting ready for war. That switches to the picture of Matthew Engel standing in the middle of the ring with the PWA World's Heavyweight Title, a spotlight on him and the glittering gold while shadows of the Rampage roster stare at him from the outside.

‘Oh, there ain't no rest for the wicked,
Money don't grow on trees.
I got bills to pay,
I got mouths to feed,
There ain't nothing in this world for free.
I know I can't slow down,
I can't hold back,
Though you know, I wish I could.
No there ain't no rest for the wicked,
Until we close our eyes for good.’

The screen switches to the announce table and shoots all over the arena as the crowd goes nuts. Pyros shoot all over the arena as the cameras focus on the announce table.

Jon McDaniel: Hello everyone and welcome to SATURDAY NIGHT RAMPAGE! I'm Jon McDaniel, and as always, we've got my broadcast partner, Brian Rentfro.

Brian Rentfro: And this is set to be a big show with a big Tag Team Main Event and the number one contender to the unified Tag Titles to be decided. Make sure you gotta piss bag, because you won't wanna miss this.

Jon McDaniel: Before we get underway, I'm told we have some news from our esteemed owner, Mark Sommers.

We cut backstage to Chamelion standing in front of the PWA Logo.

Chamelion: Good evening, Rampage fans. Now, for the past few weeks there has been a question about the status of the World Title match at Xmas at Ground Zero. Well, I have spoken to Riona Langly’s doctors today, and they have informed me that she will not be released to compete by next week. So, with that being the case, I will heed the words spoken by Matthew Engel himself…. Where upon he said that if Riona is not available, he will indeed put his title on the line against my brother; Raizzor. So, it is now official, and to make sure of it, we will host a contract signing here, later tonight between the World Champion; Matthew Engel, and the number one contender: Raizzor. Thank you.

Scene cuts back to ringside.

Jon McDaniel: Big news from Chamelion! As Raizzor is now going to face Matthew Engel for the PWA World Title!

Brian Rentfro: Damned nepotism!

Jon McDaniel: No, you heard what Engel said, Chamelion is just following through. Anyway, lets get started with a 3-way dance between 3 of the young lions on the Rampage roster.

Rentfro nods as McDaniel gets the signal that the first match is about to start.

The Wishing Star vs. Chrono Clepsydra vs. The Andalusian

What was heralded as a match up showing off 3 of the great talents in Rampage ended up being a one man showcase for The Andalusian. The Andalusian dominated the two other wrestlers with a wide variety of power moves that show him fold The Wishing Star with the impact of a Modified Cop Killah. This left Chrono to take the lion's share of abuse as EMTs checked on a nearly crippled Wishing Star. Try as Chrono might, he couldn't muster any offense at the the openings that he got. And even the small breather he was able to get was interrupted when The Andalusian nails him with The Running of the Bulls. From that point it was easy to see how this one was ending as he dropped down for the 3 count.

WINNER: The Andalusian

Blazenwing & Marxx vs. Gangsta Boss & Bomber

The next match featured the team of former IC champion Marxx and the former BWF Champion and owner David Blazenwing against the Gangsta Boss and Bomber. Marxx started off against Bomber, controlling much of the match with solid ground based wrestling. Bomber had to tag out to Boss, and Marxx continued the assault, tagging in Blazenwing and the two hit a combo of tag team moves, before Boss was able to tag Bomber back in. Blazenwing and Bomber went toe to toe, with Blazenwing handling the advantage. A tag to Marxx and he twisted Bomber’s arm but Bomber raked the eyes. Blazenwing complained, getting the ref distracted and Bomber hit a low blow on Marxx and then he and Boss double teamed Marxx until the ref ordered Boss out. Bomber then tagged Boss in and the two proceeded to keep Marxx on their side of the ring, taking turns choking, using the ropes and utilizing the five count for double team moves until Marxx was spent, laid out in the ring. Blazenwing clapped, trying to encourage Marxx when Boss whipped Marxx into the corner and went for a splash. Marxx sidestepped and Boss hit turnbuckle. Boss turned and went for a clothesline, but Marxx countered with his own and both men were taken to the canvas. Bomber yelled at Boss to tag him, as Marxx crawled desperately to Blazenwing. Boss made the tag, and Bomber rushed in but Marxx hit the hot tag to Blazenwing who then proceeded to clean house. As Blazenwing set up Bomber, Boss tried to tackle him from behind but Marxx cut him off, spearing him from the ring as Blazenwing hit the Deadlevel DDT and scored the 1-2-3.

Winners: Marxx & Blazenwing

The Contract Signing

Brian Rentfro: Up next is going to be a very dramatic event.

Jon McDaniel: It’s the contract signing between the PWA World Champion, Matthew Engel and the now officially appointed number one contender, Raizzor.

Brian Rentfro: Engel talked about wanting to fight Riona, but as we heard earlier tonight from Chamelion; Riona’s doctors have informed her that she is unable to compete in time for Xmas at Ground Zero… so Chamelion told Engel that per his own words, if Riona couldn’t then he’d face Raizzor.

Jon McDaniel: And to make it official, the contract will be signed here in the ring, right now.

In the ring, stands Eli Storm, head of Rampage, with a mic in hand.

Eli Storm: Ladies and Gentlemen, as you can see by the set up here in the ring, it’s time to sign the contract between our World Champion; Matthew Engel…

Boos arise throughout the arena at the mention of Engel’s name.

Eli Storm (Continues): And the challenger, Raizzor.

Cheers erupt over the boos.

Eli Storm: So, without delay, first let me introduce to you… he is a former four time PWA World Champion.. the Soul-Taker: RAIZZOR!

The crowd roars to life as pyros explode on stage and the beat of “You’re Gonna Pay!” rifts through the speakers. From the billowing mist steps Raizzor, dressed in his black leather duster. His eyes swarm the crowd before he makes his way down to the ring. Stepping through the ropes, Raizzor slowly makes his way to his side of the table where the contract sits.

Eli Storm: And his opponent at Ground Zero, he is the PWA World Heavyweight Champion… MATTHEW ENGEL!

"Moonlight is thought to transform some people into strange creatures to drive others mad..."

[one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind]

"Does the moon actually possess such strange powers?"

"Or is it all just... lunacy?"

The song "Moon Baby" by Godsmack kicks in hard as Matthew Engel appears from backstage. Green and silver pryos shoot off in front of him, and the crowd is on their feet.

Engel makes it to the ring and climbs in. Eli Storm looks at both men, then speaks.

Eli Storm: Now, Raizzor, as the challenger, you will sign the contract first.

Never taking his eyes off of Engel, Raizzor picks up the pen and flips the contract to the final page. Slowly, he scrawls his name across the bottom of the page, his eyes still firmly set on Matthew Engel. He then sets the clipboard down, dropping the pen on top of it.

Eli Storm: Now, Engel, if you please?

Matthew looks at the clip board, then back to Raizzor. Licking his lips once, he picks up one of the two mics on the table for them to use.

Matthew Engel: Well, aren’t you the lucky Sommers Brother, huh, Michael!? Again, here you are, in the spotlight and we all know it’s not because of your talent, but because your last name is Sommers. You do know the locker room is seething at how you seem to have stepped up to the plate, without so much as earning your place? Must be nice to have so much just handed to you, eh, Michael!?

Raizzor glares, silently.

Matthew Engel pulls the clipboard to his side of the table, flipping the pages to the last.

Matthew Engel: And now that the doctors have conveniently denied Riona the right to fight me next week, your brother awards you the spot. Well, here you go…

He signs the paper.

Matthew Engel: I’ll bend to the will of the power of the Sommers and put my title on the line against a less then deserving, second rate, part time ‘only shows when it’s to his advantage’ opponent. What a way to tarnish the significance of this title, Michael.. I bet you’re so pro…

Raizzor has the other mic in his hand, cutting Engel off.

Raizzor: Matthew; your words, they are as yellow as your back bone. You claim I am undeserving, and yet here I am, doing what few others have even dared to do. I stepped up to you, chest to chest, and I am not afraid. I am not intimidated by you, your actions or your willingness to bleed and break those who stand against you. You claim the locker room is angered by my position, but I question if they are even brave enough to do what I have done… they saw what you have done to Jethro, to Riona, and know you will go beyond wrestling, and turn this into something darker. I see through you, Matthew.. and I stepped up to challenge you, to take from you what you hold precious. I want that title, yes, but the thought of taking it causing you so much pain, is where the joy lies most… and trust me, Matthew, I plan to strike you where it hurts the most; your pride. I know you wanted Riona, but not because you think she deserves the first shot at your belt, but because you know she’s weakened… you are a coward.

Engel glares back, seething.

Matthew Engel: I am no coward, Sommers. I will prove it to you Sunday, I will prove it to you tonight in our tag team match! I earned this title, which is more then you have done so, and I will not back down to your mind games! So, you go on, go back there and get ready, and I’ll show you what a true World Champion looks like.

They glare back and forth.

Raizzor: I will wait, Matthew, for I have patience.. patience to see you buried! This, I promise!

Dropping the mic, Raizzor turns to leave when Engel takes his World title and swings, striking Raizzor across the forehead with it. Raizzor stumbles and Engel swerves around the table, striking a second time with the title. Raizzor bobbles and Engel drops the belt and begins hammering away at Raizzor’s forehead, which has been sliced open by the title and blood flows freely. Engel knees Raizzor in the gut and hits striking upper cuts, dazing the unprepared Soul-Taker.

Jon McDaniel: Again, Engel strikes when his opponent is unprepared.

Brian Rentfro: Sound tactical advantage!

Engel basically decimates Raizzor and then when the Soul-Taker wobbles, Engel hits a powerbomb, shocking the crowd and then lays Raizzor on the table, draped prone.

Jon McDaniel: Engel’s going to the top!

Brian Rentfro: Euthanasia baby!

Engel signals, listening to the jeers of the crowd and smiling. He then poises himself and executes the Euthanasia, but at the last moment Raizzor rolls away, and Engel crashes through the table!

Jon McDaniel: WOW!

Brian Rentfro: Oh no! Poor Engel!

Splinters and debris cover Engel as he lies twitching there between the ruins of the table. Raizzor wipes the blood from his forehead, still woozy and glares darkly down at Engel. He looks up, right and left, and a sinister gleam forms in his eyes. Bending at the waist, Raizzor pulls Engel up by the hair, and lifts him up and turns him over.

Jon McDaniel: He’s going too…..

Brian Rentfro: Oh hell no, not the….

Raizzor then drives Engel head first into the debris of the table with a impactful Tombstone Shoulder Breaker, causing the shoulder and collar bone to compress! Engel hits the canvas, withering in pain, and Raizzor stands over him… the PWA World Title in his grasp, and raises it above his head to the cheers of the fans.

Jon McDaniel: A symbolic moment!

Brian Rentfro: He’s a thief, no more, no less!

Raizzor then drops the belt over Engel and leaves the ring, as medics rush down to attend to the World Champion.

Jon McDaniel: Over the past month, Engel has been quite unfortunate, and now, just moments from an all important tag team match, Raizzor has left Engel in ruins in the middle of the ring.

Brian Rentfro: He’ll come back! He’ll make Raizzor pay for this!

Jon McDaniel: We shall see, we shall see.

Shadow Starr & Viktor Stone vs. The Maverick Initiative

Number One Contenders Match For The Tag Titles

As we come back from commercial we see both teams in the ring. From the looks of it, Gary Maverick is going to start for his team while Starr lets Stone know he is starting by exiting the ring on him. The two competitors head to the center of the ring to start off the match. The referee looks them over and moves out of the way to let them start.

Maverick takes advantage and slams a forearm against Stone’s chest to knock him down on the mat. He stands back, allowing him to get back up, and tells him to tag in Starr. He looks at his partner before looking back at Gary and nails him with a lightning fast Lariet, knocking Gary to the ground.

Brian Rentfro: I don’t think Viktor took kindly to his antics.

Launching himself into the ropes, Viktor comes flying off looking for a leaping Elbow drop onto Maverick to follow up, but Gary manages to move himself out of the way and allow him to come crashing down onto his back. Getting back to his feet, Maverick grabs Viktor from behind as he is getting up and drills him with a forearm to his shoulder blades. He falls into the ropes and Gary grabs him around the waist, lifting him up and slamming him into the mat with a High Angel German Suplex.

Jon McDaniel: Coming back up to his feet, Maverick looks over to his corner where Johnny waits, and asks him if he would like to enter the ring.

Brian Rentfro: Wow, if he did disrespect Viktor before…he has now!!!

Johnny doesn’t give him any sign so Gary seems to take that as a yes and walks into the corner and tags him in. Johnny heads over to Viktor to pick up where his brother left off. Maverick grabs Viktor to pick him back up, but Stone rolls back and manages to find his head with his foot, kicking him square on the side of his face. Maverick keeps himself from falling, but gives Viktor enough room to steady himself. He runs at Maverick before he can recover and nails him with an Enziguri kick. Maverick falls face first onto the mat, leaving himself open for Viktor to lock in a Single Leg Boston Crab.

Jon McDaniel: Best way to keep a guy down is to take out the legs.

Brian Rentfro: Really? I’m surprised that no one has ever thought of that.

Though not a large man in comparison to others in the business; Maverick is able to use his slight size advantage over Viktor Stone to reach for the ropes. The referee makes him break the hold and Viktor lets him get back to his feet. Once Johnny is back up, Viktor runs to him and attempts to Dropkick him, but Johnny sees it coming and moves out of the way. Vik falls onto his back, giving Maverick a chance to try and drop an elbow on him. Before he makes impact, Viktor rolls out of the way. He scrambles up to his feet as quickly as he can and looks to score with a Front Flip Dropkick. Maverick gets up before he can catch him, grabbing him in midair and driving him to the mat. Johnny drops down and tries to cover him for a pin.

Brian Rentfro: Johnny Maverick almost surprises Viktor with a quick pin, but he escapes just at two.

Jon McDaniel: And here I thought it was time for a beer break...Who am I kidding, it's always time for a beer break when the Lawn chair Kid is out here.

Viktor gets up to his feet almost at the same time as Maverick and tries to catch him with a Double Leg Takedown but Johnny stops him by kicking him away from him. To try and create a little bit of open space, Maverick nails him with a European Uppercut to force Viktor back into the corner. Maverick rams his forearm into him to pin him to the turnbuckle, then takes a step back to try and splash him in the corner. Viktor leaps up, letting him crash into the empty turnbuckle and catches him with a Sunset Flip.

Maverick kicks his feet hard and causes Viktor to roll backwards and tag in Starr. Starr quickly jumps over the top rope and pounces on Johnny for the quick pin.

Johnny kicks out this time, again cutting as close as he can. Rather than try to go for another pin attempt, Starr rolls away from him and gives him some breathing room. Johnny gets up, trying to catch Shadow Starr with a clothesline. Only to be caught by surprise as Starr ducks under the and nails a Reverse Russian Legsweep. Johnny’s face slams into the mat and his body rolls over onto his back.

Jon McDaniel: Quick thinking by the former Champion!

Running to the ropes, Star leaps onto the middle rope and uses it to Springboard himself up and over into a Moonsault. His body makes the full rotation in the air and everything looks perfect, until Johnny gets his knees up. Starr’s body crashes down on top of his knees and he bounces off him onto the canvas.

Johnny scrambles back up to his feet, getting around behind Starr. Scouting him out, he waits until he gets up before he moves in for the kill. Hooking him into a Cobra Clutch, Maverick crotches down ready to lift him over with a suplex. Feeling the shift, Starr can tell what he is looking for and uses his leg to hook the back of Johnny’s leg. Johnny lifts and tries to throw but his own leg ends up getting pulled out from under him.

Brian Rentfro: What a reversal!

Rolling away from Johnny, Starr gets to his feet and crouches in the corner. Maverick gets up and Starr runs at him. Johnny sees him and throws out his arm to try and catch him but SS ducks forward and rolls under him, popping up behind him. Johnny turns around but Starr lifts him into the air and drives him down with a Spinebuster.

Jon McDaniel: Oh…big time spinebuster by the former IC Champion!!!

Brian Rentfro: That’ll ruin anyone’s night with the ladies.

The force and momentum behind the Spinebuster allows Starr to pop back up onto his feet. Starr, looking to capitalize on Johnny being stunned and score a big move, runs to the nearby corner and gracefully climbs up the turnbuckles as if it was second nature. Without stopping for a second, he leaps off the top rope toward Johnny for a Crossbody. Johnny spins around and catches him, and slams him down with a Powerslam. Maverick stumbles back and tags Gary in.

Brian Rentfro: And there is the hot tag…

Picking Starr up, Maverick nails him with a quick Clothesline to make sure he is hurting. Once again lifting him off the mat, Maverick locks him in a Neckbreaker and looks over at Stone in the corner.

Jon McDaniel: This isn’t a smart thing to do.

He turns away just as Stone starts to get into the ring, Maverick doesn’t see the former “Beast” standing right behind him. He gets ready to drop Starr when Stone grabs him by the shoulder and spins him around, dropping Maverick with a balled up right fist that damn near snaps his neck from the impact. The referee spots him and orders Stone out of the ring, which he easily agrees to with a wide grin on his mug.

Brian Rentfro: Stone evening the odds in his team’s favor with that shot.

With his partner dazed on the ground and Starr heading to tag in Stone, Johnny tags himself in and heads over to meet Stone in the center of the ring. Maverick raises his arms up to signal for a tie up. Stone walks right up to him and kicks him square in the gut, doubling him over. As soon as Maverick exposes his back to Stone, he drives some forearms into Johnny’s back before throwing him into his team’s corner. Stone tag Starr back in and both men fling Johnny to the ropes. Johnny comes off the ropes and Stone lifts up in the air into a Military press. Stone lets him drop ribs first across the knees of a waiting Shadow Starr.

Jon McDaniel: Great double team move by Starr and Stone.

Picking up Johnny, Shadow gives him a knee to the chest before whipping him into his corner. Viktor is there waiting for him and elbows him right in the face as he crashes into the turnbuckle. Shadow rushes into the corner and slams Johnny with a Clothesline. Johnny stumbles out of the corner, with a extra helping push from Stone. Shadow kicks him in the abdomen, pulling Johnny into a standing head scissors. He locks both of his arms up, hoisting Maverick into piledriver position. He waits only a few seconds before dropping Johnny with a sit-out pedigree.

END GAME!!!!!!

Stone yells for Starr to get the pin.

Brian Rentfro: And they did it! Stone and Starr have ensured their chance for a title shot by coming out with a big must win here tonight.

Jon McDaniel: I'm sure the champions are waiting for a real challenge coming from the Rampage roster.

WINNERS: Viktor Stone & Shadow Starr

A Major Change and Announcment

Cut backstage, where Bud Adams catches up with Chamelion.

Bud Adams: Mark, a word please.

Chamelion: Saxaphone.

Bud blinks.

Bud Adams: What?

Chamelion: You said a word, I gave you a word. Sheesh, what else do you want?

Bud Adams: Oh, well, I was wondering what the status with Matthew Engel and Raizzor was, considering their match is coming up.

Chamelion: Engel suffered continued effects of his recent back issues with the Tombstone Raizzor put on him.. so Engel is out of tonight’s main event. And considering it would be unfair to put Emperor Ian in a two on one situation; I have decided to remove Raizzor as well; since he is currently getting stitches in his forehead, anyway. So, the main event is now a preview of Xmas at Ground Zero, with Ian going one on one against Trent Bradley.

Bud Adams: Nice. Ok, that sounds fair.

Chamelion: And…. Furthermore… since it’s now just those two, and they already have another match next week… tonight’s match is going to be FOR the PWA Intercontinental Championship!

The arena explodes as they hear the announcement, and Adams is left with his jaw hanging as Chamelion walks away, humming to himself.

A Southern Hero's Return

"Oh you better watch out, you'd better not cry"

The crowd is in utter confusion at this intrusion.

"You'd better not pout, I'm telling you why."

A big Santa Claus comes from the back, two lovely and sexy female elves at his side. The two female elves are wearing short green outfits, while the Santa is dressed in normal Santa garments.

Jon McDaniel: What is going on here?

Brian Rentfro: I don't know because there are no presents, no candy canes, but plenty of goodies! Yeah baby!

The Santa reaches out to slap the hands of the fans as he is escorted down the ramp and to the ring steps. Santa steps up on the apron, holding onto the top rope, before looking out over the crowd on each side of the arena. He holds the ropes and allows the two female elves to step into the ring, much to the full face grins on the men.

Brian Rentfro: That is what I am talking about there... I think Chamelion's gotten us strippers.

Jon McDaniel: Don't be ridiculous.

Santa steps through the middle and top rope as he once again looks over the crowd. He walks over to the side where the announcers sit, asking for a microphone from Eric Emerson, he taps it a bit.

"poof poof"

He appears to be smiling under his grand white beard as he brings the live mic up to his mouth.

"Ho Ho Ho"

The crowd responds, a few women pointing at the elves as they say it.

"Oh no no no, these are elves from the North Pole."

Brian Rentfro: I've gott..

Jon McDaniel: Shut it Brian.

"Is everyone ready for the Christmas season?"

The kids in the crowd shout that they are, some parents groan, thinking of the bills.

"Well I was in Philadelphia tonight on business..."

Big pop from the Philadelphia crowd.

"Yeah, checking the names on my list, twice..."

The crowd shouts again.

"When I remembered there was a PWA show in town tonight."

The crowd roars again.

"So I figured I'd stop in and check out a bit of the action in the ring here tonight."

The crowd roars.

"See, I know there are a few stars that have been a bit on the bad side, a bit of bad talking has gotten them into a little trouble with one certain person."

The crowd boos whomever he is talking about.

"You see, I am a Rampage fan."

The crowd yells because Santa is on Rampage and not Chaos.

"But I am also a Chaos fan."

The crowd boos here because they are on Rampage, not Chaos.

"I'm just a fan of the PWA wrestling as a whole."

The crowd guesses they can cheer with that.

"But see, Mr. Engel, when I checked my list for the second time, you came up again on the naughty list and it is just so unusual for that to happen especially at Christmas time, so I figured"

The crowd boos at the name of Engel and Santa laughs a deep laugh.

"Oh I know I know. Anyways I figured I'd come down and see personally why he was such a bad boy. Trouble is, I can't seem to find him in the building."

Booos still come from the crowd as Santa laughs merrily in the ring.

"Not to mention Mr. Trent Bradley, a man who has had some bad words to say about the PWA and Rampage, that I just didn't like. For those harsh words, I had to put an "X" beside his name on my list for such naughty words about such a great product."

Boos again.

"Don't you agree? Should he have an "X" by his name?"

The crowd erupts in cheers.

"But getting back to Mr. Engel for a moment, I'm here to inform him that Mr. Hayes fought through injury after injury just to give you fans a good match. Give you someone you could be proud of."

Santa stops as the crowd erupts in cheers once more.

"I'm here to inform him that, while he did put Jethro in the hospital, while he did give him the injuries..."

Santa rips off his Santa hat and beard, revealing Jethro Hayes wearing a Santa suit, surrounded on both sides by the two lovely female elves.

"He. Did. Not. End. Jethro. Hayes!"

The crowd is on their feet here, yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs. The hands of the fans are clapping so fast they are a blur.

Jon McDaniel: It's Jethro Hayes!

Brian Rentfro: Damn...

"Engel, you did hurt me, you did put me in a hospital, but listen... you did not end nor break me."

He breathes heavily, getting the crowd pumped up.

"While I can't challenge for that belt, I am here to challenge someone in particular. But I'll get to that in a minute. Matthew Engel, Raizzor announced a challenge to you for Ground Zero and you accepted the match and terms should Riona Langly not be able to make it to the pay per view."

Jethro chuckles a bit.

"Knowing that she is tougher than most men and what you did to her... dispicable. But anyways, that is for another time and another day because you and me, aren't through yet. But Engel, Raizzor, those in the back, and the Board of Directors, I want to be involved with either match only as a guest referee. As much as Engel hates me, no one can deny the fact I am honest as the day is twenty-four hours long. I'm not here to challenge for the belt, but I do have a couple of challenges to lay out here tonight; I'll get to one of them now."

He waits.

"Engel, Genesis is coming up, the biggest event in the PWA... what do you say to one more match there on the biggest stage in the legendary PWA? What do you say Engel to lacing the boots up one more time against me, not for the strap, not for a win or loss, but for something more important... for respect? Come on Engel, I'll be awaiting your answer. Rampage isn't big enough for your ego and my body, so... loser leaves Rampage. You heard me Engel, loser... leaves... Rampage."

He looks from side to side, getting the crowd to wait on his every word.

"But now onto the other challenge... Trent Bradley, I want a match with you! I've heard what you've said about Rampage and it... pisses me off!"

The crowd is behind Jethro, not knowing him to get this animated about anything.

"I live, breathe, eat wrestling Trent, day in and day out; so for you to insult something that I've given my life, my blood, my body for... pisses me off."

Jethro hits the ropes, leaning over to stare up the entrance ramp.

"Trent, I want a match with you, not at the pay per view, but at the next PWA event! You have insulted the PWA for the last time!"

The crowd is there, backing Jethro's every word.

"In fact, I am so eager to hear your reply, I'm going to be the guest commentator in your match against Emperor Ian."

Jethro steps through the ropes, helping the ladies down as they make their way to sit down beside Jon McDaniel.

Brian Rentfro: There is room over here for your ladies.

Jethro Hayes: Thanks Brian, but I know how you feel about me.

Jon McDaniel: Glad to have you back Jethro.

Jethro Hayes: Glad to be back Jon, its time to have some fun.

Emperor Ian vs. Trent Bradley

PWA Intercontinental Championship Match

I added Jethro's commentary because of his on-card right before the match.

Eric Emerson: The following match is set for one fall and is your Rampage Main Event. As order of Eli Storm, this match is now for the Pioneer Wrestling Association Intercontinental Championship!

The first chords of "Battle Without Honor or Humanity" by Tomoyasu Hotei plays over the loud speakers as the crowd rises to their
feet. When the drum beat hits, "The Scranton Shooter" Trent Bradley bursts through the curtain. Wearing a white towel over his head, his intense eyes glare
towards the ring as he quickly makes his way down the aisle.

Eric Emerson: "Making his way to the ring at this time... from Scranton, Pennsylvania, weighing in tonight at 241 pounds... he is... TRENT BRADLEY!"

Bradley climbs the stairs, wipes his boots on the apron, and enters the ring between top and middle ropes. He quickly jumps on the second turnbuckle and
stares out to the crowd before taking the towel off his head and tossing it to the fans.

"Manic Depression" by Carnivore plays as Emperor Ian walks to the ring as fast as he can, ignoring the fans.

Ding Ding

Jon McDaniel: Here we go Brian, with what started out being a tag team match is now a singles contest.

Brian Rentfro: About time we see Trent in the main event picture.

Jethro Hayes: That Engel is one naughty person, he would never get on Santa's nice list.

Jon McDaniel: But it took the fight between Raizzor and Matthew Engel to get him here.

Brian Rentfro: No Jon, his talent is what got him here.

Jethro Hayes: Trent Bradley is one talented individual, but he lacks a bit of respect for the PWA which is why I have an issue with him.

Collar and elbow tie up, Ian turning it into a hammerlock, but Trent reverses with one of his own. Ian rolls forward flipping Trent off of him. Ian bounces off the ropes clothesline, but Trent ducks under the outstretched arm. Armbar down to the mat. Ian rolls to the ropes and the hold is broken up immediately by Trent.

Jon McDaniel: Fast paced action so far.

Brian Rentfro: The match just started, what do you expect?

Jethro Hayes: Well, they are basically testing each other out here in the early going.

Trent pulls Ian up to his feet, forearm to the face and a whip into the ropes. Ian bounces off the ropes, back drop by Trent, but Ian lands on his feet, standing dropkick to Trent's back. Bradley stumbles forward onto the ropes, Ian delivers a stiff elbow shot to the back of his head. Trent turns around right hand to Ian's face. Ian falls back from the closed fist and referee Lance Weston warns Trent about the closed fist.

Brian Rentfro: Now why is Lance warning about a closed fist?

Jon McDaniel: Figured it was obvious.

Jethro Hayes: Closed fists are illegal in a typical wrestling match, Trent doesn't need to use them to gain advantages, but I don't think he can help himself.

Trent with a knee into Ian's temple before he hooks the arm, twisting at the hips to deliver a bit more force with a snap suplex. Trent doesn't go for the cover, instead pulling Ian into position for Straight Shootin'.

Brian Rentfro: Trent going for a submission victory here.

Jon McDaniel: Ian counters by getting a bit of his body on the ropes to break the hold.

Jethro Hayes: Ian is a very talented wrestler in his own right.

Brian Rentfro: Yeah, you've lost to him a couple of times haven't you Hayes.

Jethro Hayes: Sure have, not ashamed to admit it.

Trent is furious at himself for not checking on the closeness of the ropes and is letting Lance have a piece of his mind. Ian pulls himself up, bulldog takes Trent down to the canvas, he rolls Trent over for a pin.

Trent kicks out with authority after the count of two. Ian is up, Trent gets up to his feet. Running knee to the side of Trent's head rolls him back onto his back. Ian pulls his left leg up, stomp to the side of Trent's knee. Ian with a second stomp, and a third. Ian pulls Trent to a vertical base, opem palm strike to the jaw from Ian, swinging neckbreaker takes him back down. Ian pulls him back up, he applies the Scavenger's Daughter submission hold.

Jon McDaniel: Back and forth submission holds early in this contest.

Brian Rentfro: Trent clearly the expert in this field.

Jethro Hayes: It may be too early for a submission victory, but they wear down a wrestler's body quicker than chain wrestling.

Trent rolls to the left, right, left, and right breaking the hold. Trent shoots up to his feet, right hand to Ian, a second, following it up with a front kick right to Ian's midsection. Trent hits the ropes, running knee to Ian's temple nearly takes him down. Trent hooks with a full nelson, lifting Ian up into the air, releasing Dragon suplex. Trent leans against the ropes, waiting for Ian to move. Ian begins to stir, Trent on the attack with a running punt kick to his head. Ian is flat on his back, Trent pulls him up. Double underhook piledriver.

Jon McDaniel: Trent's Pennsylvania Plunge!

Brian Rentfro: This match is over.

Jethro Hayes: Devastating move there, but it waits to be seen if it is over yet.

Trent makes the cover, hooking the leg for leverage.

Thr--Ian rolls a shoulder up, keeping the match alive.

Brian Rentfro: Slow count there.

Jon McDaniel: Was not, it was normal paced.

Jethro Hayes: I agree Jon, that count was well paced.

Trent can't believe it, Ian has more in him than he thought. Pulling Ian back up, shoulderblock from Ian. Emperor Ian with a right fist into Trent's midsection, following it up with a desperation modified belly to belly waistlock suplex. Ian can't hold the bridge though and the pinning predicament is released. Ian falls on his back, rolling out from under Trent so that he is not pinned. Ian pulls himself up, Trent rolls onto his hands and knees. Ian rushes in yelling as he connects with a lifted knee into Trent's face, but Trent counters with a dragon screw leg whip taking the Intercontinental champion down to the canvas. Trent smiles as he crawls over to make the cover.

T--Ian kicks out and the crowd applauds with enthusiasm for the Intercontinental Champion.

Jon McDaniel: The crowd clearly behind The Emperor here.

Brian Rentfro: These people are fools.

Jethro Hayes: Way to talk about those fans that pay your salary.

Trent pulls Ian up, inverted facelock, he makes a cut throat gesture before he lifts Ian into the air. Ian uses his weight to bring himself back down, Trent looks a bit surprised. Trent lifts a second time, but Ian once again blocks his finisher by falling down to the canvas on his butt. Trent goes to lift him back up, but Ian spins around in the inverted facelock, shoving Trent backwards into the turnbuckles. Trent arches his back in pain, Ian with a release belly to belly suplex sends Trent sliding across the ring. Ian catches his breath, rolling over to his hands and knees, he stares at Trent across the ring. Trent holds at his neck, which took most of the impact, and Ian smiles. The Emperor walks over, locking Trent in a crooked head scissorslock.

Jon McDaniel: Heretic's Fork by Ian here.

Brian Rentfro: Trent can get out of this basic hold.

Jethro Hayes: But it wears on your neck more than you can imagine.

Trent places his hand between the leg and his chin, escaping the hold, but Ian is back up already. Trent is on his knees, Ian with a knee strike to his face, but Trent just smiles. Ian with a second strike wipes the smile off of Trent's face, but Trent begins to rise up to his feet. Ian dives in with a shoulder block, Trent with a tornado DDT sends Ian's forehead into the canvas. Trent looks around, knowing he is making his mark on the PWA. He climbs to the middle rope, jumping off with a knee drop to the back of Ian's head, softening him up for his finisher move. Trent pulls Ian back up, looking to inflict more damage on Ian's head and neck. Trent has Ian in position for a German suplex.

Jon McDaniel: There is one rolling German suplex.

Brian Rentfro: There are many more to come.

Jethro Hayes: I tend to agree, the more you perform, the more pain inflicted on your neck.

Trent slams Ian down with a second and a third, and pauses as he gains his grip for a fourth rolling German suplex. He lifts Ian up, but Ian breaks the hold in mid-air landing on his feet. Ian bounces off the ropes as a surprised Trent looks right into a leg lariat from Ian. Ian falls down, unable to capitalize on his good fortune. Trent lays there a bit stunned from the counter. Ian gets up to his feet, looking over at Trent who is also getting back up to his feet. Ian comes over, chop to the chest and the crowd gives the customary "Wooooo!" Ian follows with another chop and the crowd again "Wooooo!" Ian has Trent backed into the corner, lifted knee into Trent's midsection. Ian with a knee into the other side of Trent's ribs. Ian jumps up, locking in a body scissors and he falls back and to the side to begin rolling around on the canvas with Trent firmly locked the Inner Circle.

Brian Rentfro: The Inner Circle from Ian is having little effect.

Jon McDaniel: Are you kidding me? Look at how Trent's head and neck keep snapping off the canvas.

Jethro Hayes: It also wears on the ribs because of the leg sissors that are applied. A multiple point of attack for Ian.

Brian Rentfro: I see nothing, it is a conspiracy that Jacob Figgins would be likely to agree with.

Jon McDaniel: You are unbelievable.

Brian Rentfro: No Jon, the fact that you see Ian getting one up on Trent is unbelievable.

Ian releases the Inner Circle in order to prepare himself for his finishing submission hold.

***Emperor Ian Wins***

Trent is back up to his feet, a bit shaky, but back up.

Jon McDaniel: The Imperial Conquest!

Brian Rentfro: No way he can get Trent to submit here.

Jethro Hayes: I know this move is painful, having been in it before.

Lance Weston is on top of the action here at a pivotal moment in the match. Trent refuses to submit, instead looking for the ropes. Ian has Trent in the center of the ring, too far. Trent's eyes close once, but he quickly shoves them back open, looking a bit ddazed in them now.

Jon McDaniel: Trent appears to be fading.

Brian Rentfro: There you go with your outrageous conspiracies again.

Jethro Hayes: A very difficult move to get out of, the ropes is usually your only option.

Trent's eyes close again, they take a bit longer to pop open again. Ian tightens the hold, looking for either a knockout or a submission from Trent. Bradley's eyes open slowly as his body goes a bit limp and his eyes shut again. Lance rushes over closer to lift Trent's arm up by the wrist. It falls. Lance points over to the timekeeper indicating one time. Lance lifts it again, it falls for a second time. Lance indicates a two with his fingers before lifting the arm up again. Ian tightens the hold once more to make sure he has it locked in properly.

Jon McDaniel: It falls!

Brian Rentfro: NO!

Jethro Hayes: Ian retains his belt.

Lance Weston calls for the bell as Trent's hand hits the mat for the third time.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Eric Emerson: Winner of the match and STIIIIIILLL PWA Intercontinental Champion.... Emperor Ian!

"Manic Depression" hits back up as Lance Weston hands Ian his Intercontinental Championship. Ian holds the belt high in the air, over his latest victim, knowing he'll have to do this again in one week's time, but with Marxx included.

Brian Rentfro: Trent will get him next time!

Jethro Hayes: He will certainly know what to do to avoid the same fatal error.

Jon McDaniel: Just one week's time for the rematch, as well as the other main event pitting Engel against Raizzor.

Jethro Hayes: That is a match I have been dying to see for a long time!

Brian Rentfro: It'll push Rampage ahead in the ratings war, gauranteed!

Jon McDaniel: That's it for Rampage for the rest of 2009, we will see all of you in 2010 for another great year of PWA! Gnight!
