World Heavyweight Title: The Phoenix
Intercontinental Title: Johnny Maverick

Saturday Night Rampage Intro

The scene opens up to a sold out and packed Rampage. The cameras scan through the crowd looking for various signs. Some of the signs shown say "Riona + Title Shot = New World Champion", "We're All Marxx", just to name a few. Then the lights go dim as the people scatter back to their seats. Suddenly you can hear the dragging guitar riff of PUDDLE OF MUDD's "Famous".

‘I was walking down the street,
When out the corner of my eye
I saw a pretty little thing approaching me.’

KC Bomber is shown jogging in place getting ready for his next match up.

‘She said "I've never seen a man
Who looks so all alone,
Could you use a little company?’

Riona Langly is shown in the gym, working a punching bag, with each strike you can see her focused rage flow through her arm into the impact on the bag.

‘If you pay the right price
Your evening will be nice,’

Emperor Ian is shown grabbing his IC Championship. As he turns around you can see Shadow Starr leaning against the wall cracking his knuckles.

‘And you can go and send me on my way."
I said "You're such a sweet young thing
Why you do this to yourself?"
She looked at me and this is what she said,’

The song picks up, the camera returns to normal, and a steady drumbeat plays. Letters slowly begin to display themselves on the black screen.

The words crumble away as you see Marxx in the locker room, taping his fists. Getting ready for war. That switches to the picture of Matthew Engel standing in the middle of the ring with the PWA World's Heavyweight Title, a spotlight on him and the glittering gold while shadows of the Rampage roster stare at him from the outside.

‘Oh, there ain't no rest for the wicked,
Money don't grow on trees.
I got bills to pay,
I got mouths to feed,
There ain't nothing in this world for free.
I know I can't slow down,
I can't hold back,
Though you know, I wish I could.
No there ain't no rest for the wicked,
Until we close our eyes for good.’

The screen switches to the announce table and shoots all over the arena as the crowd goes nuts. Pyros shoot all over the arena as the cameras focus on the announce table.

Jon McDaniel: Hello everyone and welcome to SATURDAY NIGHT RAMPAGE! I'm Jon McDaniel, and as always, we've got my broadcast partner, Brian Rentfro.

Brian Rentfro: And this is the first show after the big PPV event and we have a packed card tonight showcasing new and veteran talent. In other words a whole lot of asskicking is going to be going on.

Jon McDaniel: Ass kicking doesn’t even cover what is about to go on. Some of these matches will guide our wrestlers in certain directions as the new year begins.

Rentfro nods as McDaniel gets the signal that the first match is about to start.

Chrono Clepsydra vs Blazenwing

It's very rare you can call someone 6'4" short, but in this match that is the case as we saw 6'4" Blazenwing try to get the win over the 6'8" Monster, Chrono Clepsydra. This match ended up showing off the height and strength advantage from Chronos as he unloaded a varitey of power moves that floored Blazenwing. Chronos almost got the win when he nailed that Hero's Demise move nearly ending the match right there. but Blazen is able to kick out and get some space between him and CC. Blazen rolled outside and tried to get some air as the big man stayed inside of the ring. Not wanting to fall into any traps on the outside.

Blazen finally slides back into the ring adn locks up witht he bigger man again, but this time he lets go and nails a dropkick to the knees of CC. From that point on, Blazen's focus was on that leg. Slowly chopping away at the large tree that is Chronos. Try as he might the attack to the leg weaken CC enough for Blazen to catch him slipping and nail the The Full Effect Superkick for the 3 count.

WINNER: Blazenwing

Gangsta Boss vs. The Andalusian

The match between the new comer and The Andalusian was hard to keep to the ring after what happened between them this week. Every chance the two had to go outside for some extra action they did. Which even saw GB suplex The Andalusian off the ring apron to the floor. but not to be out done, The Andalusion repays GB with a reverse Russian legsweep into the guardrail. not wanting the match to end in a double count out both men slide back into the ring. GB is the first to make a move as he nails The Andalusian with a standing dropkick that send the bigger man into the ropes.

The cruiserweight tries to keep the pressure on the heavyweight by using his speed to stay at least one step ahead of the big man. but eventually runs himself into a corner and is caught by the bigger wrestler. but quick thinking allows GB to escape with a low blow, grounding the bigger Andalusian. As The Andalusian is on the mat, GB uses this as the perfect chance to get the win with The Gangsta Blaster!!

WINNER: Gangsta Boss

Viktor Stone vs Marxx

Eric Emerson: Introducing now... standing at 6'0" and weighting in at 237 pounds...

A pulsing beat hits the speakers as "The Beginning Is The End Is The Beginning" by Smashing Pumpkins begins to play as a man steps out from the smoke rising up from the entrance ramp. The man is wearing Black boots and Black kneepads and Blue baggy jean shorts. He tops that off with a Grey "The Apostles of Ares" hoodie with the sleeves cut off and the hood over his head. He also has his fists and forearms taped up.

Eric Emerson: He is the former IC and TV Champion…

"Send a heartbeat to
The void that cries through you
Relive the pictures that have come to pass
For now we stand alone
The world is lost and blown
And we are flesh and blood disintegrate
With no more to hate"

Eric Emerson: He hails from Hartford, CT... he is VIKTOR STONE!!!!

Pyros spike up from the entrance all the way down the ramp. Stone begins to make his way down the rampway as Blue lights flicker through the arena. On the screen behind him, you can see clips from Stone's various PWA matches.

"Is it bright where you are
Have the people changed
Does it make you happy you're so strange
And in your darkest hour
I hold secrets flame
We can watch the world devoured in its pain"

Stone makes it ringside and slides under the bottom rope. He hopes up and scans the crowd while taking off his hoodie, reveling his shirtless, Tattooed body. Stone sits in the corner ala Raven...waiting for the bell to ring.

Jon McDaniel: This is a big match for Stone. If he can get a win over former IC Champion, Marxx then it could get him back to the title hunt path.

Brian Rentfro: If…Stone is a former TV Champion AND IC Champion.

The arena is under a dimmed light. Only the tron is flashing as "Shackler's Revenge" from Guns 'N Roses plays through the arena. All of a sudden, four bright spotlights starts turning around like on a red carpet and stops all of a sudden, doing a "X" form with their rays of light. Red and blue spotlights turns in circles over the crowd as Marxx appears from the entrance ramp, wearing his signature black leather coat.

Eric Emerson: Introducing first, from New Brunswick, Canada, by the way of Indianapolis, Indiana…

He walks to a side of the ramp, raising his arm, then walks to the other side, where he does the same thing. While walking to a side to another, we could notice he was dancing a little bit. After, he comes back to the middle of the entrance ramp as he motions the crowd to cheer louder with his hands each sides of him. From there, he puts his arms in front of his face in his usual X, and then drops them quickly at each sides of him, a huge smile on his face. He let go a "Woo!" before starting his walk to the ring.

Eric Emerson: He is the former PWA IC Champion…Marxx!

He starts walking on the ramp, clapping in the nearest fans hands. He stops in front of the ring, then turns back by the fans as he takes off his leather coat to the crowd's excitement. Then, he rolls inside the ring and jumps on a corner, where he does an X with his arms in front of his face before dropping them to each side. He jumps off the turnbuckle and does the same thing on the opposite side before going back to his corner, where he starts stretching.

Marxx handed the belt to the official and stepped back to a neutral corner.

Both men met in the middle of the ring, each of them offering their hand, hoping to lure the other into a handshake, and catch them at a disadvantage. Awkwardly realizing they were both up to the same trick, they quickly shook and stepped apart. Stone lunged forward, offering his right leg, hoping to entice Marxx to shoot in, but the canny former IC champion opted instead to leg lariat Stone to the ground, and followed that with a flurry of kicks to the torso of Viktor.

Jon McDaniel: Marxx using some educated feet to soften up Stone’s ribs.

Brian Rentfro: Educated feet? Are you trying to say that Marxx feet have a degree, Jon?

Viktor struggled to his feet, and Marxx ties him up with a front face lock, and smoothly transitioned that into a stalling suplex. With momentum on his side, Marxx floats over on top of the prone Stone, getting a long one count.

Jon McDaniel: It’s gonna take more then that to beat the man formerly known as “The Beast”.

Brian Rentfro: Hell, it was worth a shot.

Marxx brings Stone back to his feet, but takes slightly too much time, and Stone gets some space by elbowing “The Midnight Role Model” in the gut. With Marxx momentarily stunned, Viktor kicked him twice to both thighes, and then follows up with a trio of European Uppercuts, driving Marxx back into the corner.

Jon McDaniel: MMA background with a deep knowledge in various forms of wrestling. And Stone show off the British side of his training.

Brian Rentfro: Damn British…first tea and then their uppercuts!!!

Jon McDaniel: It’s European Uppercuts…not British Uppercuts.

Marxx, cornered as he is, shoves Stone off off him, but it is only a temporary reprieve, as Stone flings himself shoulder first into Marxx’s midsection. Getting back to his feet, Viktor whips Marxx into the opposite corner, and charges with another shoulder.

Brian Rentfro: That right there can ruin a midnight snack for you.

This blow stuns Marxx, and gives Viktor a chance to seat him on the top turnbuckle. Instead of climbing the turnbuckles, Stone fires a bunch of shots to the stomach of Marxx. Stone grabs Marxx in a front facelock and starts to pull him towards the middle or the ring, so that only his feet are on the turnbuckle ala Randy Orton.

Jon McDaniel: I don’t like the looks of this.

Brian Rentfro: I bet you that Marxx doesn’t like it, a lot more then you do.

But instead of just dropping down, Stone leaps in the air to add more to the impact as he drives Marxx’s head into the mat, almost spiking him. Stone doesn’t waste any time as he hooks the leg.

Jon McDaniel: And Marxx kicks out before the hand can drop for three.

With a fistful of hair, Viktor brings Marxx up, and tries to whip him into the ropes. “Tries” is the operative word, because Marxx reversed the whip, and drops to the mat, sending Stone into the corner with force. Marxx pauses for a minute, trying to shake the cobwebs from the DDT.

Jon McDaniel: Marxx still feeling the effects from the DDT is able to keep things from getting worse.

Brian Rentfro: Marxx isn’t a jackass. He knows if you give Stone a big enough gap he will make it hard for you.

Jon McDaniel: Hard for you…Stone just tried to break his neck.

Marxx sees Stone staggering out of the corner backwards and wraps him up in a Half Nelson. He hooks the leg and swings back with all his might.

Marxx run the ropes, and came back with a big leaping Leg Drop.

Brian Rentfro: OWWWW!!!! A leg across the neck is not good.

Marxx quickly rolls off and follows the Leg Drop with 3 well timed Elbow Drops to the same area of the neck. Stone holds the back of his neck as Marxx lifts him up. Marxx quickly twists around and nails a jarring Neckbreaker. Marxx has seemingly found his focus as he once again drags Stone to his feet. Marxx lets Stone stagger a bit before nailing a Bicyle Kick to take him down.

Jon McDaniel: OH…I think Stone’s neck almost snapped off.

Brian Rentfro: I haven’t seen a neck move like that since…

The camera quickly cuts away from the announcers just in time to see Stone catch Marxx coming off the ropes with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Stone drops down to his knees while Marxx gets to his hands and knees. As soon as Stone sees him moving he leaps in the air and nails a dropkick to Marxx’s face. Stone rolls to his side and locks in a headlock on Marxx. Stone yanks harder on the headlock, cutting the air off for Marxx. But Marxx refuses to be put down by the hold and starts to fight his way to one knee lifting up Stone. Stone wretches back in hopes of stopping this surge, but Marxx slowly gets back up to both feet lifting Stone off the ground. Before Marxx can do anything, Stone wraps his legs around Marxx, scissoring and squeezing around the former Champion’s ribs and lungs.

Jon McDaniel: It looks like Stone is gonna go for the standing submission.

Brian Rentfro: The hold looks insane and Marxx looks to be fading.

But only for a moment.

Jon McDaniel: Don’t speak too soon.

Marxx leaps up in the air, before he passes out and drives Stone’s back into the canvas with enough impact to make Stone let go of the headlock. Marxx is laid out on his back trying to get some air as Stone is holding his back, barely moving. The ref checks both men and begins his count...

Marxx is able to roll over and drape his arms across a barely moving Stone.

Stone barely gets a arm up as the ref stops the count. Marxx bangs his fist against the mat as he rolls over. Both men are to their knees and Marxx sends a hard elbow strike to the Jaw of Stone.

Jon McDaniel: OHHHH!!!! And that shot jarred the former Phoenix student.

Brian Rentfro: Did you have to bring that up.

Stone bends back and slow comes forward into the waiting hands of Marxx who hooks him in a front facelock. Marxx quickly stands up and drops back down, ramming Stones face into his knee.

Jon McDaniel: Marxx is starting to get into his groove with some moves use to keep Stone off his senses.

Brian Rentfro: Come on…call it like it is…he is fucking Stone up!!

Stone holds his jaw and rolls to the side, but Marxx isn’t giving him any space to breathe. Stone has to stop covering his jaw so he can cover his ribs from the boots Marxx is putting to him. Marxx drags Stone over to the turnbuckle and places him face first in the corner. Marxx races to the opposite corner and waits a moment. Marxx runs at Stone’s back full speed and jumps in the air. He almost hangs for a moment before nailing a dropkick to the top of Stone’s back.

Brian Rentfro: Marxx has Stone where he wants him.

Marxx hops up to his feet, looking to end this. Marxx yanks Stone up and goes to irish whip him into the corner, but Stone reverses only to have Marxx counter with a kick to the midsection. Marxx lifts Stone on his shoulders and grabs Viktor’s head under his arm before falling on the mat. The ring shakes from the impact.

Jon McDaniel: LEAVING MARXX!!!

Brian Rentfro: Marxx is going for the cover.

Raizzor's rebuke

We cut backstage to find Raizzor standing in front of the PWA Logo, the lights are dimmed low and a single light from behind casts an eerie glow over his shiloute. Raizzor’s voice booms in the silence as he reflects on Matthew Engel’s comments from a week ago.

Raizzor: Matthew Engel, a man who I once respected, has proven himself to be… a coward. His true colors have shown themselves when a true challenge was laid before him. I came into this ring, and I issued to Engel my desire to compete against him for the PWA World Heavyweight Championship, and his response?

Raizzor: His response was that he would rather face a wounded Miss Langly then a fully prepared and one hundred percent Soul-Taker. Of course he would choose Miss Langly over myself, for he has literally broken her in two, and knows that even if she arrived at Ground Zero, she would not be at full strength. I do not deny Miss Langly’s right to challenge Matthew, for his actions alone signifies this, and that she should be allowed her chance at vengeance, and I also know that her pride would have her crawl on broken knees into that ring just to accept!

Raizzor: Matthew knows this and he is praying for Miss Langly to speak up and accept, removing myself from the chance to face Engel one on one, so that he can believe he has an easy mark. But Matthew, know very well that if she does accept, it won’t be nearly as easy as you think, and I will not feel sympathy for the pain you are sure to endure at her hands. Yet still, I see you the coward, opting to wait upon her to accept when you know her status is less than perfect. I will heed to her the place in line, but only out of respect for her, not for your decline of my challenge. Trust me, Matthew, I can change your mind if I so wish it. I would also advise you to heed a piece of advice I offer without price; do not judge me by my last name. Bested my brother you may have, but I am not Mark.

Raizzor: I would offer the compromise that I be allowed to join the contest and create a triple threat, but even I would prefer the pleasure of dissecting you myself. Not only for the sake of the insult you paid to Miss Langly, but also for the actions you have displayed over the last few months as part of Pantheon. I will see to it that your transgressions reap a price your body will ill afford to pay, and you may mock me as much as you wish, but you would do well to respect what I am capable of. So, you choose your path, knowing your end lays at the end of either one. Will you stand by your word that Miss Langly shall get her shot first, knowing it’s the easy way out, or will you allow her to heal, to rest, to prepare and instead risk all at the hands of the Soul-Taker in two weeks?

Raizzor: I leave the answer to you, Matthew; pray you make the right choice.

Raizzor glares darkly at the screen as the scene fades slowly to black before going back to ringside.

Shadow Starr vs Trent Bradley

This match ended up being the sleeper of the night when the new upstart, Trent Bradley took on Shadow Starr. This match started off very high tempo with the two men exchanging strikes and suplexes. The Veteran PWA star, Shadow Starr starts to get the upper hand using some old school tricks. But Trent was able to get past some of Starr's underhanded tactics by focusing his attack on Starr's back. But it was when Starr tried to nail Trent with a suplex, that Trent was able to counter with The Bradley Buster .

WINNER: Trent Bradley

Matthew Engel vs. Emperor Ian

Champion vs Champion - Non Title

Eric Emerson: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the main event! Introducing first, hailing from Imperial County, California...

"Manic Depression" by Carnivore plays as Emperor Ian walks to the ring as fast as he can, ignoring the fans.

Eric Emerson: He stands 6'1 and weighs 202 pounds... the PWA Intercontinental Champion... EMPEROR IAN!!!!

Ian slides into the ring and gets ready for the match. He hands off his IC title to the referee.

Jon McDaniel: Ian wasting no time here, staying focused.

Brian Rentfro: Ian said he's beaten current World Champions before, but he's never faced Engel in the ring.

Eric Emerson: And his opponent, hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin...

"Moonlight is thought to transform some people into strange creatures to drive others mad..."

[one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind]

"Does the moon actually possess such strange powers?"

"Or is it all just... lunacy?"

The song "Moon Baby" by Godsmack kicks in hard as Matthew Engel appears from backstage. Green and silver pryos shoot off in front of him, and the crowd is on their feet. His World Title glistens in the spotlight as he makes his descent down to the ring.

Eric Emerson: He stands six feet and weighs in tonight at 217 pounds... he is the PWA Heavyweight Champion of the World... he is MATTHEW.. ENGEL!!!!

Engel makes it to the ring and climbs in. He removes his tuxedo jacket, dress shirt, and tie. He is wearing his usual white wife-beater, dark green dress pants, and black boots. Referee Lance Weston takes the World Title and hands it off to PWA security by the announcer's booth.

Jon McDaniel: Engel is getting ready and the main event is about to be underway.

Brian Rentfro: Both men look incredibly focused. This should be a good match!

Emperor Ian charges at Engel, but Engel slides away and grabs Emperor Ian's ankle, tripping him up. Engel quickly drops an elbow to Emperor Ian's neck. He does it again, and then goes off the second rope and connects with a guillotine legdrop. Engel stomps Emperor Ian in the chest and backs up for a moment. Emperor Ian begins to move, and Engel hits Emperor Ian with another stomp and a stare. The stare hurts more.

Brian Rentfro: Engel showing his authority as reigning World Champion.

Jon McDaniel: What authority? He doesn't have the Pantheon's backing anymore.

Emperor Ian gets back to his feet. He cracks his neck, and nods. Emperor Ian and Engel lock up, but Emperor Ian is quick to land an elbow to Engel's side. Emperor Ian follows it up with some hard knees to the stomach and hits a neckbreaker on Engel. Emperor Ian flies into the ropes and comes back with a senton bomb. He covers Engel.

Kick out!

Brian Rentfro: Barely a one count.

Jon McDaniel: The IC Champion is trying to get in and out with a victory, you can't blame him. The longer you're in the ring with Engel, the worse your chances are of winning.

Brian Rentfro: And Jethro Hayes can attest to that.

Engel is to his feet. Emperor Ian checks him with a quick right, and follows it up with a jaw-breaking left hook. Engel stumbles back and Emperor Ian tries for a spinning heel kick, but Engel brushes him aside. Emperor Ian to his feet. Engel comes at him with a side kick, but Emperor Ian catches Engel's foot. Engel tries for the enziguri, but Emperor Ian dodges. Engel crashes to the mat and Emperor Ian is right on him for another assault. He unchambers lefts and rights, and then gets Engel to his feet. Emperor Ian takes him down with a quick hip toss, but Engel is to his feet. Emperor Ian spears him into the corner.

Jon McDaniel: Ian pierces Engel into that corner!

Brian Rentfro: Engel looks like he got the wind knocked out of him.

Emperor Ian runs to the opposite corner and charges. Halfway, he launches into the air for a corner splash.

And misses.

Emperor Ian connects with the turnbuckle as Engel dodges at the last second. Engel wraps Emperor Ian up from behind and hits him with a huge german suplex. Engel holds on and stands up, still holding onto Emperor Ian. He hits ANOTHER german suplex on him. Engel uses a lot of strength to get Emperor Ian back up again, Emperor Ian trying to struggle out of it. Emperor Ian fights back with an elbow, trying to avoid a third. But Engel perseveres and hits another german suplex on Emperor Ian. He bridges it.

Kick out!

Jon McDaniel: Ian is eager to show Engel that he's not even close!

Brian Rentfro: A battle of PWA champions... it's always a great show, Jon.

Emperor Ian to his feet. Engel starts to give him some lip, but there's too much of it as Emperor Ian takes him down with a roundhouse. Emperor Ian grabs Engel's arm and rushes toward the turnbuckle. Emperor Ian hits a tornado cross arm breaker on Engel. Still holding on to Engel's arm, he rings him up and attempts to kick Engel in the back of the head. Engel telegraphs it and ducks, grabbing his leg and taking him down to the mat. Engel is up and Emperor Ian gets to his feet. Engel kicks him low and hits a huge piledriver on Emperor Ian.

Kick out!

Brian Rentfro: Seems that Engel has broken down Ian a bit with that piledriver.

Jon McDaniel: Indeed, Brian. Ian needs to put together some offense if he wants to survive this match.

Emperor Ian is a bit groggy now as he gets to his feet. Engel wraps Emperor Ian up with a front facelock, and lifts Emperor Ian vertically above him. Engel drops down and hits a big brainbuster on Emperor Ian. He doesn't go for a cover, but flies into the ropes. He springboards off the middle rope, attempting a moonsault. He overshot it. Wait -

He didn't overshoot it, he lands both feet on Emperor Ian's chest for a huge double foot stomp! A quick cover.

Kick out!

Jon McDaniel: Close call there.

Brian Rentfro: Engel thought he had the three count.

Emperor Ian cringes and begins to gasp for air. Engel is up to his feet. He lands a few stomps, and gets Emperor Ian up to his feet. Engel drags him over to the corner, giving Emperor Ian enough time to catch his breath. Emperor Ian slams his elbow into Engel's stomach and plants him in the mat with a vicious DDT. Emperor Ian hooks the leg.

Kick out!

Jon McDaniel: The Emperor strikes back!

Brian Rentfro: Oh God...

Emperor Ian is to his feet. Engel gets to a knee, but not before Emperor Ian slaps on an impressive Million Dollar Dream choke. We've seen Engel use this move before. Engel tries his hardest to fight it, but eventually falls to the mat. The referee is down in Engel's face, asking if he wants to give up. Engel shakes his head, and tries to fight back with elbow shots to Emperor Ian. Emperor Ian just tightens the grip, and Engel's face begins to turn red. Engel looks about three feet in front of him, and noticies a bottom rope in close proximity. He reaches out, but he's a few inches away. He starts to muscle his way toward the rope as Emperor Ian tries to hold him back. He reaches it, and the ref makes Emperor Ian break the hold.

Jon McDaniel: We've seen Engel execute that choke hold... and now Ian is using it against him.

Brian Rentfro: It's a risky play, because Engel knows the strengths and weaknesses of that hold better than anyone.

Engel starts coughing and gasping for air himself. Emperor Ian hits a soccer kick on him, and gets him to his feet. Emperor Ian sends him into the ropes and telegraphs a spinning heel kick. He connects this time and sends Engel to the canvas. Emperor Ian is into the ropes and springboards off with a perfect moonsault. He holds it for the cover.

Kick out!

Jon McDaniel: Some fancy aerial out of Ian, but it wasn't enough.

Brian Rentfro: Engel practically invented fancy aerial, Jon.

Jon McDaniel: I highly doubt that.

Engel is up to his feet as Emperor Ian grins. Emperor Ian lashes out, but Engel dodges it and wraps Emperor Ian up in a hammerlock. Engel dishes out some brutal forearm shots to Emperor Ian's back and then kicks out the back of his knee. Emperor Ian is down to one knee, but Engel picks up him and executes a big sidewalk slam. Emperor Ian gets to a knee and Engel is on the attack. He hits Emperor Ian with multiple forearm shots and punches. He gets Emperor Ian up to his feet and lands a huge ace cutter. Engel hooks the leg.

Emperor Ian catches the bottom rope with his leg.

Jon McDaniel: Great ring awareness from the IC Champion.

Engel slams the mat in frustration and gets in the ref's face a bit. He's claiming he had the three count before Emperor Ian got his leg up. Meanwhile, Emperor Ian regroups and knocks Engel down. Engel to his feet, but he's met with a devastating dropkick. Engel flies into the corner. Emperor Ian mounts and unchambers lefts and rights. He finishes it off with an ice-cold headbutt, and Engel falls to the canvas. Engel to a knee andEmperor Ian grabs him by the hair. Emperor Ian rushes to the corner and hits a big-time tornado DDT. A quick cover.

Kick out!

Brian Rentfro: That was too close, Jon.

Jon McDaniel: Ian can feel Engel starting to wear down, this is when he needs to strike!

Engel shakes it off and tries to get to his feet. Emperor Ian drops an elbow on his back and follows it up with some stiff kicks to the back of the head. Emperor Ian gets Engel to his feet and works his arm again. Engel falls to a knee, but looks up into Emperor Ian's eyes and gets an adrenaline shot. Engel muscles back up to his feet and flips out of the arm bar. Still holding onto Emperor Ian, Engel pulls him close and gives him a clothesline he'll never forget. Engel climbs the top rope - cannonball 450 splash. Perfect. He covers.

3 -- NO! Kick out!

Brian Rentfro: That was 3!!

Jon McDaniel: Not according to Lance Weston.

Engel to his feet and Emperor Ian uses the ropes to get up. Emperor Ian rushes at Engel and locks up with him. Engel shoves Emperor Ian out of his grips and into the ropes. Emperor Ian rebounds looking to connect a lariat on Engel, but Engel ducks and Emperor Ian stops on a dime, kicks Engel low, and has an amazing attempt at a release powerbomb. Executed. Cover.

Kick out!

Brian Rentfro: Holy crap!

Jon McDaniel: Engel's resilience is unprecedented, but he'll need to do something now if he wants to escape Ian's determination to win.

Ian pulls Engel up to his feet, but immediately takes him down to the mat with a tiger suplex! Engel is cringing and Ian hooks his leg.

3 -- NO! Engel kicks out!

Jon McDaniel: Now THAT should have been three.

Brian Rentfro: 'Not according to Lance Weston'.

Jon McDaniel: Oh shut up.

Ian slams the mat in frustration, but gets up to his feet. Engel is using the ropes to get up and Ian kicks him hard in the gut. Ian delivers another kick and then clubs Engel on the back. Engel falls to a knee and Ian goes into the ropes. Ian bounces back and tries for a diving forearm, but Engel drops to the mat and rolls out to the apron. Engel gets up to his feet and springboards off the apron, hitting a rising Emperor Ian with a missile dropkick! Emperor Ian falls to the mat.

Jon McDaniel: And just when Ian thought he had Engel down, Engel counters!

Brian Rentfro: The sign of a true champion, Jon.

Engel gets Ian up to his feet and nails him with the Sons of Plunder.

Jon McDaniel: Sons of Plunder! Engel has ended a few matches with that move!

Engel covers.

Kick out!

Brian Rentfro: I can't believe it!

Jon McDaniel: Neither can Engel!

Engel tries to keep Ian grounded with foot stomps, but Ian grabs Engel's left leg and nails Engel with several punches to his right knee! Engel hobbles away, trying to protect his knee.

Jon McDaniel: That is Engel's bad knee, seems Ian did his homework.

Brian Rentfro: Engel doesn't have a bad knee, Jon. He's the World Champion!

Raizzor's pyros explode on stage, Engel turns to the ropes to confront Raizzor, who comes to the ring and Ian rolls Engel up for a victory roll.

Jon McDaniel: Damn that Razzior!

Eric Emerson: And the winner of this match... the PWA Intercontinental Champion -- EMPEROR... IAN!!!!

Brian Rentfro: This is not good...this is not good...

Jon McDaniel: And the Sommers Brother is getting into the ring.

Raizzor enters the ring and scoops Engel up and nails the Tombstone Shoulder Breaker. Raizzor then grabs the World Title and lays it over Engel's body.

Jon McDaniel:Razzior is sending a message to Engel.

Brian Rentfro: looks like the message has been sent!!!

Jon McDaniel: Well that's all the time we have folks, stay tuned for next week!
